The object is not separate but is an extension of the body and therefore thyself. This is a series of Intimate studies that relies on the participant interacting with ambiguous, minimalist interactive objects heavily influenced by sensory toys. Through video I was able to explore themes such as child play, socialisation & conditioning, human behavior and the body. Discovering different alternate ways of filming, I was able to examine gesture through the perspective of the object which resulted in different pure, abstract, expressive forms of movement. This was possible through the installment of a camera in one of the sculptural pieces. I took the role as an enabler as well as creator as my sole goal is to create a bridge between art and everyday life.
